JOB SUMMARY
The Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) General Maintenance Worker-Helper, works under limited supervision performs inspections, tests, and studies to locate, identify, and report I&I defect, in writing, for repair, and sources of inflow and infiltration into the sanitary sewer system. The I&I
General Maintenance-Helper operates the closed-circuit camera system, camera crawler and lateral camera, and smoke and dye to inspect sewer collection mains and lateral lines. Reports
I&I issues to supervisors in format required, follows up to ensure scheduling of repair work, and repairs are completed. Records all pipeline, manholes, wet wells inspection locations, results found, and turns in written reports of lines inspected. I&I General Maintenance Worker-Helper performs repairs, preventive, and corrective maintenance on water distribution and wastewater collection system equipment including: pumps, fire hydrants, valves, water tanks, chemical feed equipment, motors, electrical controls, and related components. Assists with day-to-day activities of Support team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Extensive knowledge related to Inflow and Infiltration of pipelines, and General Maintenance of Water and Wastewater systems.
2. Extensive knowledge of operation of collection and distribution systems pipelines, lift stations, and pumps.
3. Drives and operates, medium sized truck with trailer, maintenance vehicles, and other vehicles and equipment to job locations.
4. Assist I&I crew when doing camera, smoke and dye testing, lifting manholes covers, entering manholes, traffic safety, digging to find pipe breaks, inspecting sewer lines.
5. Inspect, analyze and detect leaks, cracks, and other defects in sanitary sewer lines, lift stations, and service lines being put in by contractors.
6. Determine the condition of pipe joints, note locations of any damaged pipe or line inspected.
7. Create reports on I&I goals and progress.
8. Write repair documents, track repairs, and inspect completion. Maintain overall system I&I inspection locations, amount of feet inspected, condition of pipelines, manholes, joints, and type pipe, pumps, and lift stations.
9. Ensure timely completion of assignments, and adherence to standards.
10. Draws samples from various parts of water and wastewater system.
11. Inspects pumps, valves, and gauges and performs maintenance. Reports deficiencies for repair or repairs equipment.
12. Complies with CO-USA Environmental, Health and Safety Policies. Wears Goggles, Gloves, Rubber Boots, Air Masks, Scrub Brushes, Safety Harness, Tri-pods, Self- Contained Breathing Apparatus, Atmospheric Monitor, Etc. when needed
13. Effective and respectful communications with employees, within the CO-USA.

15. Can clearly articulate complex issues both verbally and in writing to technical and non- technical personnel.
16. Ensures adherence to standards, specifications, and equipment manufacturer recommendations to obtain maximum operational status.
17. Must be able to perform basic preventative maintenance functions to vehicles, tools, camera equipment, testing equipment, and equipment being used.
18. Ensures vehicle maintenance schedules are performed.
19. Must possess manual dexterity and a complete understanding of hand tools and the application of the many types of fittings and repair accessories.

24. Performs other related functions as directed by Supervisor, CO-USA Project Manager, and Support Service Lead.

Qualifications Requirements: The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the job at a fully acceptable level.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION
1. Three years (3) minimum water distribution and wastewater collection experience.
2. Minimum of two (2) years supervisor or management experience.
3. Extensive knowledge of water and wastewater systems and maintenance, for vehicles, grounds, and specialized equipment.
4. Knowledge and skill to use, maintenance tools, hand tools, digging equipment, and small power tools.
5. Must have and maintain a valid Missouri Driver’s license and be able to obtain an authorized pass to access onto Fort Leonard Wood.
6. Must be able to obtain CDL “B” license.

13. Employee will be required to work both indoors and outdoors during seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions.
14. Employee will be required to work around chemicals and or hazardous conditions, exposed to odors, fumes, and dust, etc. Physical work consists of, but not limited to, climbing, lifting, bending, squatting, carrying, crawling, and standing for long periods of time.
15. Work outside in all weather conditions throughout the year from hot to cold, snow and rain, nice to adverse conditions.
