Marissa’s Dance Academy is hiring positive, energetic, and reliable dance instructors for the 2026–2027 dance season!
We are a growing, family-oriented studio focused on positivity, creativity, and child development. We believe dance class should build confidence, friendships, and a love for movement while still encouraging strong technique and growth.
We are currently hiring instructors for a variety of styles but primarily focusing on:
- Ballet (Kinder - 5th grade)
- Tap (Kinder - 5th grade)
- Preschool Dance
Position Details
- Part-time
- September 2026 – June 2027
- Evening classes Monday–Thursday
- Saturday morning classes available
- Potential for growth as our studio continues to expand
Our dancers currently range from ages 1.5–12 years old, primarily in preschool and recreational programs. Instructors will be placed with age groups and styles that best match their strengths and comfort level.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking instructors who are:
- Positive and encouraging with children
- Organized and dependable
- Strong in classroom management
- Creative and engaging in the classroom
- Team players who communicate professionally
- Passionate about helping students grow in confidence, not just achievements
Teaching experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

- Retired dancers
- Early childhood educators interested in preschool dance instruction
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Dance training and/or performance experience required
- Past experience as a dance instructor preferred but not required
- Background check required
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain professionalism
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly dance classes
- Choreograph routines for recitals
- Participate in two yearly recitals
- Assist in creating positive classroom culture
- Capture occasional classroom social media content
- Collaborate with studio staff and leadership
