Full Job Description

Equity Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a busy clinical laboratory team in Peabody, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, enjoys working with both adult and pediatric patients, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens from adult and pediatric patients while ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in a clinical laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on adult and pediatric patients.
Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens according to laboratory protocols.
Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, storage, and transportation.
Maintain patient comfort by explaining procedures and providing compassionate care.
Follow all infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance guidelines.
Accurately document patient information and specimen collection details.
Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams to ensure timely specimen processing.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical laboratory setting.
Experience performing blood draws on both adult and pediatric patients.
Strong attention to detail and specimen collection accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while managing a high patient volume.

Preferred Skills

Customer service-oriented with a patient-first approach.
Familiarity with laboratory terminology and clinical workflows.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Required Certifications

Phlebotomy Certificate
High School Diploma or equivalent

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
40 hours per week
