Full Job Description

Members of the project team and assistants deliver readily available and actionable data to inform and influence team decision-making and drives better patient care and outcomes. Provides data support for aggregation of healthcare data, including quality, patient, and financial, to support departmental reporting needs. Research, designs, develops, implements, and maintains reporting and analytical facilities in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Provide analytical and technical guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities

Assists in the research, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and analytical tools in the context of the hospital's clinical and/or financial systems. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable. Works with other team members to ensure that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department. Generates reports from a variety of internal and external sources, including benchmarking databases, e.g., PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries. Performs standardized data validation activities to ensure the accuracy of information prior to sharing with audiences.

Assists in the creation of large new databases, or create smaller databases as needed, and maintains a valid and accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information. Assists in the definition of specifications for key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases. Improves and maintains the production environment for tasks and applications.

Works with team members to develop insightful display of data using visualization tools.

Assists in the interpretation of data, and provides team with data-driven recommendations

Education

High School Diploma / GED
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
