Key Living Options is currently seeking qualified and motivated applicants interested in our Direct Support Professional (DSP) position. Here at Key Living Options (KLO), we pride ourselves on providing high quality residential services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and we are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as a direct support professionals (DSP). As a DSP, you would work in a residential group home/residential supervised living facility for adults diagnosed with intellectual disability and/or developmental disability.
Residential DSP would provide direct support care services including skill building, providing daily support in daily living in correlation with Person-Centered Plan, along with all appropriate documentation for providing those services. Plan, coordinate, and complete community integration activities either individually or in small groups.
Shifts available vary depending on what is available at the time of hire. Potential shifts available include: 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, 12am-8am, 8am-8pm, and 8pm-8am.
Minimum qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent (preferred)
License:
Virginia's driver's license (preferred)
Other:
Must be able to successfully complete a background check according to the Virginia State and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services guidelines
Must be able to pass a TB test
Must be able to lift up 50 pounds

Duties:
- Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
- Charting or taking notes for others to review
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Reporting changes in the health or status of the individual
- Taking vitals when needed, ex. Height and weight
- Assistance with feeding when necessary
- Maintaining individual’s health equipment if necessary
- Responding to emergency situations
- Administering medication
- Transporting individual/s as needed
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
Pay Frequency:
- Bi weekly or Twice monthly
