Essential Duties:

Provide patient care as assigned by the nurse, including taking vital signs, daily weights, and tracking dietary intake/output.
Accurately document data collected and care provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Respond promptly to patient call lights, address patient needs, and report changes in condition to the primary nurse.
Assist patients with daily living activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Safely assist with patient ambulation based on weight-bearing status and guidelines from RN or Rehab staff.
Act as a behavioral health safety sitter when needed.
Help maintain clean, clutter-free patient rooms and assist in discharge and admission preparation.
Collect clean urine and stool samples as delegated by nursing staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) or certification within 4 months.
Or EMT-B state or national level.
Graduate Nurse: associates degree in nursing (ADN) or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). May only work a maximum of 4 months while waiting to pass RN boards.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant License within 4 months of hire. BLS/CPR.
Or EMT-B or NREMT Or Graduate Nurse with evidence of successful completion of RN program.
BLS within 30 days of hire.
