POSITION SUMMARY
- Position Summary:
  - Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assembles needed supplies/equipment before and during the surgical procedure while maintaining standards of care established for the patient scheduled for a surgical procedure. The surgical technician sets up the sterile field, assists with draping the patient, anticipates the surgeon's needs and hands sterile supplies and instruments to the surgeon and his/her assistant. Skillfully practices sterile technique. Takes assigned call.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
  - High school or equivalent
  - Completion surgical technologist program, OR graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Minimum Experience
  - On-the-job training
- Required Registration/License/Certification
  - Current Kansas LPN license OR Surgical Technologist Certification
  - BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment

Location: Salina Regional Health Center · Surgery
Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, Monday-Thursday 2100-0700. Some Holiday call required.
