DESCRIPTION: The Auditor-Controller’s Office seeks applicants able to: creates end user business solutions in countywide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, which includes Human Resources/Payroll, Financial, Budget Preparation, and Property Tax components; ensures countywide business requirements are met, and business operations are effective and efficient through their functional knowledge of application; provides a wide variety of project management, business process engineering, implementation services and services to County end users and perform other related work as is required.
DEPARTMENT: The Auditor-Controller is an elected official who provides the County of Monterey with financial leadership and expert advice on a wide range of fiscal matters and advocates for financial integrity and accountability in all County business practices. The department consists of five divisions: Administration, Systems, General Accounting, Internal Audit, and Disbursements (Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Property Tax).
The Eligible List established by this recruitment process may be used County-wide to fill current and future vacancies on a regular full-time, part-time, or temporary basis. The knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above may be acquired through various types of experience, education, or training, typically:
Completion of all coursework leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
AND
Three years of experience in business systems analysis, design, or management
OR
A graduate-level degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field
AND
One year of experience in business system analysis, design, or management.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Possess a valid California class C driver's license or be able to provide suitable transportation that is approved by
the appointing authority. -
Successfully complete a background check to include fingerprinting.
