Full Job Description

Our client, a provider of world-class powering solutions, has retained our firm to recruit a Vice President & General Manager for a key business unit. This unit supplies commercial, residential and utility turn-key renewable energy systems for grid-tied and remote off-grid applications. The services offered by this unit range from preconstruction modeling through post construction servicing.

In this role you will be responsible for the overall performance of the business unit and have a significant role in developing the global market strategy for the parent corporation. You will be responsible for developing and growing the key functions of the business Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Operations and Construction. In addition, you will be responsible for developing a strong working knowledge of the solar energy markets, federal and state government incentive programs, and renewable energy/solar energy industry trade organizations.

To qualify for this position you will need an appropriate undergraduate degree in an engineering or science discipline coupled preferably with a MBA and a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior leadership role within the renewable energy industry. Strong client relationships skills and an in depth knowledge of business development activities are also required along with strong team building and communication skills.
