Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components and structures with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to the successful completion of projects across construction, industrial, and mechanical sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team dedicated to quality craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Duties

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding.
Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, ductwork, and other metal materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment.
Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to meet specifications.
Assemble fabricated parts utilizing mechanical knowledge, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and assembly techniques.
Maintain safety protocol adherence at all times while operating welding equipment, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
Support fabrication shop operations by ensuring quality control through inspection of welds and fabricated parts according to ASME codes & standards.

Experience

Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding and fabrication work in industrial or commercial environments.
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for precise fabrication.
Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, machining processes, and metal materials.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and fabrication shop environments.
Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools effectively.
