WORK HOURS: This is a Full-Time position with a varying schedule Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm. Saturday staffing is rotated and we ask that you are available only one Saturday per month. We are closed all major holidays.
JOB SUMMARY: We will train! Experience is a plus, but not necessary! If you have experience as a technician or are CPhT credentialed, hourly wage is negotiable. Please contact Kami or Cody directly today.
Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists by expediting the process of prescription handling in perimeters allowed by the law.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Use of computer application systems to bill insurance, process prescription orders, bubble pack medications, and update inventory.
Answer the telephone to obtain and request information from customers or provider offices.
Refer the patient to a pharmacist to answer questions regarding safe and effective medication use, side effects, etc.
Communicate pleasantly and efficiently with all patients, vendors, and fellow employees under all circumstances.
Review pharmacy department policies and procedures with the pharmacists.
Contact insurance companies regarding coverage for patients.
As with any small business/independent pharmacy, you may also be required to perform other tasks including, but not limited to, immunization preparation, prescription deliveries, general housekeeping, and running miscellaneous errands.
QUALIFICATIONS: If not already licensed in Idaho, you are required to be licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy which requires fingerprints, a federal background check, and a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS include but are not limited to:
At all times provide pleasant and efficient customer service.
Maintain at all times the cleanliness and/or sanitation of the work area.
Communicate with patients, other staff, and management in a professional manner that contributes to the profession of pharmacy in a positive way.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:
Perform any combination of the following duties to assist the pharmacist and retail establishment; mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed medication, type labels for bottles, completes transaction at patient check-out.
Receive, store, and maintain inventory of incoming supplies.
Count stock and enters data into the computer to maintain inventory records of both OTC and drug supply.
Process records of medication and equipment, dispense, complete charges, and enter data into the correct computer system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.
