About Cell-Crete
Founded in 1965, Cell-Crete Corporation has spent more than 70 years earning its place as a leader in specialty concrete solutions. We build on a foundation of integrity, reliability, and relentless innovation and we're not slowing down. Our Engineered Fill (EF) division specializes in lightweight foam concrete systems that solve real problems for real projects, and we're growing fast.
Our sister company, Sound Crete, brings the same quality commitment to Gyp-Crete based flooring underlayments and leveling solutions. Together, we cover the full spectrum of specialty concrete.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a technically minded Geotechnical Sales & Project Manager to help grow and lead our Engineered Fill division in Utah. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction engineering, or related technical background and is comfortable working both in the field and in the office. This role is well suited for someone who can read plans and specifications, understand soil and site conditions, discuss engineered fill solutions with contractors and design teams, prepare estimates, and manage projects from bid through completion.
While the EF pipeline builds, you will also have immediate traction supporting Sound Crete’s active Utah flooring operation. This position offers the right person a chance to combine technical problem-solving, field coordination, estimating, client development, and project management in a growing specialty concrete market.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with engineering judgment, geotechnical curiosity, and construction experience who wants to help build a regional division—not just manage paperwork.
What You'll Do
Provide Technical Sales & Business Development Support
· Develop new client relationships with general contractors, civil contractors, geotechnical engineers, design firms, owners, and public agencies across Utah and surrounding markets.
· Research upcoming engineered fill, lightweight cellular concrete, annular fill, pipe abandonment, retaining wall backfill, load reduction, settlement mitigation, and infrastructure opportunities.
· Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents to identify where Cell-Crete’s engineered fill solutions may add value.
· Prepare estimates, proposals, quantity takeoffs, basic technical exhibits, and bid follow-up communication with urgency and accuracy.
· Support Sound Crete’s flooring division with sales and project management as EF business scales up.
· Represent Cell-Crete and Sound Crete professionally with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Apply Engineering & Field Knowledge
· Evaluate site conditions, access constraints, placement logistics, lift sequencing, and production considerations for engineered fill and specialty concrete work.
· Coordinate with internal engineering, estimating, operations, and field teams to develop practical work plans and value-engineered solutions.
· Understand or be willing to learn lightweight cellular concrete behavior, density and strength requirements, buoyancy considerations, QC testing, placement procedures, and geotechnical applications.
· Communicate technical concepts clearly to contractors, designers, owners, inspectors, and field crews.
Lead Projects from Start to Finish
· Manage projects from pre-bid review and proposal through award, submittals, scheduling, field execution, closeout, and follow-up.
· Coordinate project scheduling, resource allocation, material needs, equipment planning, and field communication.
· Maintain accurate project records including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, daily communication, and correspondence.
· Conduct regular coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects moving efficiently.
· Work closely with the Utah Manager at Sound Crete to align scheduling and share resources across divisions.
· Solve problems quickly when field conditions, access, production, specifications, or schedules change.
Manage & Grow the Team

- Foster a culture of hustle, teamwork, and excellence; lead by example every day.
- Work with senior leadership to develop operational policies and procedures that scale with the business.

- Ensure senior leadership has the reporting, meeting cadence, and operational visibility they need to make decisions.
- Handle field supplies inventory and procurement to ensure the projects are well-stocked and inventory is organized.
- Address any operational issues that arise, providing timely solutions and support as needed.

· Comfortable working with contractors, engineers, inspectors, owners, subcontractors, and internal field crews.
· Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to spend time both in the office and on active jobsites.
· Self-starter who can build relationships, pursue leads, follow up consistently, and help grow a regional market.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, takeoff software, CRM tools, or project management platforms is a plus.
· Experience with lightweight cellular concrete, CLSM, controlled density fill, annular grout, pipe abandonment, MSE wall backfill, load reduction fill, or specialty concrete is a strong plus but not required.
