Full Job Description

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our IT infrastructure, including Windows and Mac systems, servers, and networking equipment. You will ensure the smooth operation of our systems, implement security measures, and provide technical support to our team. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in system administration tools like JumpCloud, antivirus solutions, and Microsoft applications, along with a solid understanding of networking and server management.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Mac operating systems and software applications.
Set up and manage systems with antivirus solutions and system administration tools like JumpCloud or similar platforms.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Administer and troubleshoot servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
Manage Microsoft applications, including Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Implement and enforce IT security policies, including data backups, disaster recovery, and access controls.
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations for reference and training purposes.
Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute IT projects and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
Hands-on experience with system administration tools like JumpCloud, antivirus software, and endpoint management solutions.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
Proficiency in server administration (Windows Server, Linux, or similar).
Expertise in Microsoft applications, including Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
