Full Job Description

Assistant Leasing Manager (Mixed-Income Community – Market Rate & Affordable Housing)

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Leasing Manager to support leasing operations at a dynamic mixed-income community serving both market-rate and affordable housing (LIHTC) residents. This role is ideal for a leasing professional with strong compliance knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 9am-6pm. Saturdays 10am-3pm. Off Sunday & Monday

Key Responsibilities

Support the team in overseeing daily leasing operations for both market-rate and LIHTC units
Guide prospective residents through the leasing process, from initial inquiry to move-in
Ensure full compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations, including income certifications and file audits
Maintain accurate and complete resident files in accordance with regulatory and company standards
Assist with lease renewals, rent collections, and delinquency follow-up
Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
Train and support leasing staff on affordable housing compliance and best practices
Coordinate with property management, maintenance, and compliance teams
Help maintain occupancy goals and contribute to marketing/leasing strategies

Qualifications

2+ years of leasing experience, preferably in a mixed-income or affordable housing environment
Strong knowledge of LIHTC compliance (income limits, certifications, recertifications, etc.)
Experience working with both market-rate and affordable housing programs highly preferred
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar) preferred
