We are seeking a talented Accident Reconstruction Animator to join our growing team. This position combines technical accuracy with creative visualization to transform engineering analyses into clear, compelling 2D and 3D animations.
Position Summary
The Accident Reconstruction Animator is responsible for developing accurate visual reconstructions of vehicle collisions using engineering data, photographs, drone imagery, laser scans, police reports, and expert analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically minded, and capable of producing high-quality animations suitable for mediation, settlement negotiations, and courtroom presentations.
Responsibilities
- Create realistic 3D accident reconstruction animations based on engineering analysis.
- Develop accurate vehicle, roadway, and environmental models.
- Interpret engineering reports, scene measurements, drone mapping, and laser scan data.
- Animate vehicle dynamics, occupant movement, and collision sequences.
- Produce demonstrative exhibits for depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Collaborate closely with forensic engineers throughout the reconstruction process.
- Revise animations as additional evidence becomes available.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Ensure all visualizations accurately represent the supporting evidence.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3ds Max
- Degree or experience in Animation, Computer Graphics, Digital Media, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency with one or more of the following:
- Blender
- Autodesk 3ds Max
- Maya
- Cinema 4D
- Unreal Engine
- Unity
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar is a plus.
- Familiarity with photogrammetry, LiDAR, or drone mapping is preferred.
- Strong understanding of physics, vehicle motion, and spatial relationships.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts visually.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

- Accident reconstruction
- Engineering visualization
- Forensic animation
- Medical or scientific animation
- Architecture or construction visualization
- Video production and motion graphics

Pay: $62,325.70 - $75,058.91 per year
