Company Description

At Unity Behavioral Services, we are dedicated to transforming lives through comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Serving the San Antonio, TX area, we provide personalized therapy in clients' natural environments, including homes, schools, and our future therapy center. Our evidence-based interventions focus on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and generalization of skills across settings, with a strong emphasis on caregiver involvement to ensure continued progress through data-driven strategies.

We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our team. We have positions available for both weekday and night/weekend schedules, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Role Description

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions, collect data, monitor client progress, and collaborate with caregivers and team members to effectively deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.

Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the BCBA.
Conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, following the prescribed protocols and procedures.
Teach and reinforce specific skills to clients, such as communication, social, self-help, and academic skills.
Use techniques like discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment training (NET), and task analysis.
Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and skill acquisition during sessions.
Use various data collection methods, such as frequency counts, duration recording, and interval recording.
Monitor and document client progress toward treatment goals.
Report data and session notes to the supervising BCBA for analysis and program adjustments.
Implement behavior reduction strategies for challenging behaviors as outlined in the BIP.
Respond appropriately to crisis situations, using de-escalation techniques and following safety protocols.
Document and report any incidents or emergencies to the supervising BCBA and relevant parties.
Communicate regularly with the supervising BCBA regarding client progress, challenges, and updates.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed and enhance skills.
Provide support and guidance to caregivers on implementing behavior strategies at home.
Prepare materials and activities needed for therapy sessions, ensuring they are ready and organized.
Complete session notes, progress reports, and any other documentation accurately and promptly.
Engage in professional development opportunities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality and security of all client information.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
2 + years experience with current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Experience in working with individuals with autism and related disorders.
Strong observational and data collection skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
