Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated 503A Compounding Pharmacist with at least 10 years of consistent and stable professional experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of compounding regulations, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care. Ideal candidate holds multi state license.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards.
Verify formulations, calculations, and ingredient integrity for compounded medications.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of formulations, lot numbers, and quality assurance checks.
Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring adherence to all standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
Monitor and enforce proper aseptic techniques, environmental controls, and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Uphold all state and federal pharmacy laws, as well as FDA and DEA regulations consistent with 503A compounding guidelines.
Participate in internal audits, staff training, and continuous quality improvement programs.
Support formulation development for sterile and non-sterile compounded medications.
Evaluate APIs, excipients, preservatives, and container closure systems.
Support development of peptides, hormone therapies, IV nutrition products, wellness formulations, and specialty compounds.
Recommend commercial opportunities based on market demand.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
Minimum of 10 years of stable practice experience in a compounding or clinical pharmacy setting.
Strong understanding of 503A compliance requirements and current USP standards.
Proven leadership, mentorship, and process management experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Experience with compounding software systems
