Full Job Description

Position Overview

Latched Support is seeking a compassionate, organized Pregnancy Program Coordinator to support the coordination, quality, and delivery of our pregnancy services. This full-time, in-person position serves as an operational bridge among clients, doulas, direct-service staff, and program leadership.

The coordinator supports pregnancy testing, client intake, service referrals, pregnancy education, doula coordination, training, documentation, quality improvement, and continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, births, and urgent program needs
Reports to: Manager, Pregnancy & Parenting Programs

Key Responsibilities

Pregnancy Testing, Intake, and Referrals

Provide pregnancy testing in accordance with organizational protocols, training, informed-consent requirements, infection-control procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Provide supportive, nonjudgmental education and next-step guidance within the role’s authorized scope.
Complete client intakes, identify needs, review eligibility and program availability, and maintain accurate documentation.
Connect clients with pregnancy education, doula services, breastfeeding support, resource navigation, classes, and outside referrals.
Track referrals and conduct timely follow-up to support successful enrollment and service delivery.
Follow approved escalation procedures for urgent medical, behavioral-health, safety, or social-service concerns.

Program and Doula Coordination

Coordinate scheduling, referrals, enrollment, client communication, assignments, waitlists, and daily service-delivery workflows.
Match clients with Community-Based Doulas based on their needs, preferences, language, location, availability, and program capacity.
Monitor doula caseloads, client engagement, service milestones, and assignment status.
Help doulas address scheduling, documentation, resource, and client-engagement barriers.
Support clients’ transitions into postpartum, parenting, breastfeeding, resource-navigation, and other appropriate services.
Identify service barriers and capacity concerns and recommend solutions to the Program Manager.

Quality Support and Training

Attend selected births and observe scheduled home visits or other service encounters for quality assurance, with appropriate consent and in accordance with privacy and organizational requirements.
Document observations objectively, provide developmental feedback, and elevate performance, capacity, safety, or quality concerns to the Program Manager.
Coordinate and facilitate doula training, orientation, workshops, simulations, and continuing-education activities.
Support onboarding, mentorship, shadowing, and competency development for doulas and pregnancy-program staff.
Reinforce trauma-informed, culturally responsive, evidence-informed, and family-centered practices.

Pregnancy Education and Community Engagement

Facilitate education related to pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, infant safety, and family wellness within the employee’s training and authorized scope.
Create welcoming and culturally responsive learning environments for clients and families.
Help recruit eligible families through community events, workshops, clinics, hospitals, and partner organizations.
Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community partners.

Documentation and Collaboration

Maintain timely records of pregnancy tests, intakes, referrals, assignments, observations, trainings, client interactions, and follow-up activities.
Support consistent documentation practices among doulas and direct-service staff.
Assist with data tracking and reporting for grants, contracts, quality measures, and organizational goals.
Protect client and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
Participate in meetings, case consultations, training, program planning, and continuous-improvement activities.
Promptly communicate urgent client, staff, safety, compliance, or service-quality concerns to the appropriate leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, nursing, maternal-child health, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Experience in maternal and infant health, pregnancy support, doula services, home visiting, community-based services, or social services.
Knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum support, infant safety, and community resources.
Strong organizational, communication, facilitation, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
Ability to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive support to diverse clients and families.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and client-management or case-tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Doula, Community Health Worker, childbirth educator, lactation, or related certification.
Experience coordinating programs, client assignments, training, or field-based services.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Additional Requirements

Successfully complete required DFPS, Texas DPS, and NSOPW background screenings.
Maintain reliable transportation and travel to client homes, hospitals, birth settings, offices, community events, satellite locations, and partner sites.
Complete required training and demonstrate competency before independently providing pregnancy testing or other specialized services.
Comply with safety, infection-control, mandated-reporting, confidentiality, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
Be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and sit, stand, move, and travel for extended periods, with reasonable accommodations as required by law.

Role Scope

This position provides day-to-day program coordination, operational guidance, and developmental feedback. Formal supervision, corrective action, performance evaluations, budget approval, and final policy decisions remain with program or executive leadership unless delegated in writing. Medical diagnosis and treatment are outside the scope of this role.
