BC Personnel, Inc. is seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on Community Manager to join the team at Caravan Estates, a professionally managed 55+ mobile home community in Yucaipa, California.
The ideal candidate will have previous office and maintenance experience, including meter change-outs, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent service to residents. Prior community management experience is preferred. This position requires the Community Manager to reside on-site in an employer-provided 2-bedroom, 1-bath home, with utilities included as a condition of employment.
Position Summary
The Community Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the community, including resident relations, office administration, maintenance coordination, community inspections, and general property upkeep.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Community Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mobile home community.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
- Conduct regular community inspections and identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and curb-appeal concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance and community upkeep as needed.
- Perform meter change-outs and related maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and follow up on work orders and outstanding maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance personnel as directed.
- Monitor the condition of common areas, facilities, and other community property.
- Perform evening closing duties from 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., including closing and securing designated community facilities.
- Assist with community improvement projects and other operational responsibilities.
- Report significant maintenance, safety, or compliance concerns to regional management.
- Ensure community rules, policies, and procedures are communicated and followed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Resident Relations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors.
- Respond to resident questions, concerns, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain positive and professional resident relationships.
- Communicate community rules, policies, notices, and other information to residents.
- Address resident concerns using sound judgment and established company procedures.
- Handle difficult or sensitive resident situations professionally.
Confidentiality & Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, applicant, employee, and company information.
- Handle sensitive information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, workplace standards, and applicable requirements.
- Escalate significant resident, safety, maintenance, or compliance concerns to regional or corporate management as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous office experience required.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Experience with meter change-outs required.
- Prior community management experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency required, including the ability to use email, Microsoft Office, and company software and systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license may be required based on business needs.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and any other pre-employment requirements permitted by law.
- A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check may be required based on the responsibilities of the position.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Employment Type
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid meal period from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Evening duties from 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- The position requires a total of 7.5 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday.
- Additional hours may be required for community events, emergencies, or other urgent business needs. All hours worked will be recorded and compensated in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
Housing
- Employer-provided housing is a condition of employment.
- The Community Manager is required to reside in the employer-provided residence at Caravan Estates.
- The residence is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath home.
- Utilities for the residence are included.
- Housing is provided in accordance with company policy and the applicable housing agreement.
- Housing is tied to employment in the Community Manager position and ends upon separation from employment or if the employee is no longer employed in the position, subject to applicable law and the terms of the housing agreement.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the employee to:
- Regularly walk throughout the community, including on uneven surfaces.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach as necessary to perform job duties.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and meter change-outs.
- Safely use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
