Position: Remote Pilot in Command
Location: Mountain View, CA
Beeline UAS is a B2B operations solutions provider that integrates unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technologies into the national airspace system and regulatory framework. Operating under its FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate, Beeline UAS does not build or sell hardware, but instead provides the operational infrastructure, regulatory expertise, and scalable frameworks that allow platform partners to move to profitable, repeatable commercial operations. The company's vision is to make drone delivery affordable and accessible to all Americans, transforming on-demand logistics across the country.
As a UAS Remote Pilot, you will be the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) for our Part 135 drone delivery operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient flights across our commercial network. You'll work directly with our teams Flight Operations Center and global members to operate flights, run tests, and represent Beeline UAS in the field. This is a hands-on role where your decisions directly impact our customers and the success of our network.
As Remote Pilot in Command, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) for UAS missions across our Part 135-certified delivery network
- Conduct pre-flight risk assessments, airspace checks, and mission planning in accordance with FAA regulations and operating procedures
- Execute BVLOS and autonomous flights from our Ground Control Station, monitoring aircraft performance and making real-time decisions
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, operational manuals, and standard operating procedures throughout all flights
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections; document aircraft status and airworthiness discrepancies
- Monitor telemetry and aircraft systems during flight; abort or divert missions when conditions warrant
- Coordinate with Air Traffic Control and the Flight Operations Center
- Assist with troubleshooting and operational issue resolution
- Maintain accurate flight logs, maintenance records, and occurrence reports in accordance with FAA Part 135 record-keeping requirements
- Support demonstrations, training, and validation of new routes and delivery sites
- Participate in safety management and continuous improvement of flight operations
Requirements:
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (current and valid)
- Demonstrated experience operating drones or other aircraft systems in a commercial or safety-critical environment
- Experience following standard operating procedures in regulated or high-reliability operations
- Strong problem-solving skills; calm and methodical under pressure
- Clear communication with both technical teams and remote operations centers
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shift-based scheduling including early mornings, weekends, and on-call availability
- Based in or able to relocate to Mountain View, CA
- This position is subject to background checks consistent with FAA Part 135 air carrier operating requirements.
- As a safety-sensitive role in a Part 135 operation, it is also subject to Beeline’s FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing program, including pre-employment, random, reasonable-suspicion, and post-accident testing.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required to travel between operating sites.
Preferred:
- Manned aviation background (student pilot, PPL, CPL, or military pilot experience)
- Experience flying BVLOS or autonomous systems in a commercial setting
- Background in aerospace engineering or aviation safety
- Experience with drone platform design, development, or manufacturing
- FAA flight instructor or examiner experience
Work Environment:
- On-site, field-based role operating from Ground Control Stations and active delivery sites in and around Mountain View, CA
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to sun, heat, wind, cold, and noise
- Shift-based schedule that includes 12pm-8pm Monday through Friday.
- Travel between local operating sites; occasional travel to support new route validation

- Remain stationed at a Ground Control Station and maintain sustained visual attention to displays and telemetry for extended periods
- Frequently move about outdoor operating sites, including uneven terrain, to set up and inspect aircraft
- Regularly lift, carry, and position aircraft, batteries, and equipment weighing up to approximately 40 lbs; occasionally more with assistance
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections
- Sufficient near and distance visual acuity and hearing to monitor aircraft, observe airspace, and communicate over radio and headset
- Communicate clearly and exchange accurate information verbally and in writing, including over radio with ATC and the Flight Operations Center
- Tolerate outdoor weather conditions for the duration of a shift
Compensation:
- Target hourly pay of $39 per hour. Final pay will be based on skills and experience.
