Full Job Description

Every team member plays a crucial role at El Gallo Giro. We are a premier, Los Angeles-based Mexican restaurant company dedicated to serving authentic, scratch-made Mexican food, fresh pan dulce, a live tortilleria, and signature aguas frescas. We are seeking a passionate, high-energy General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience: Maintain fast, accurate service and positive guest relations. Ensure all food products, safety, cleanliness, and speed of service standards are strictly enforced for 100% customer satisfaction.
Financial & P&L Management: Manage the restaurant’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. Execute cash control/security procedures, maintain precise inventory, optimize labor scheduling, and review financial reports to drive profitability.
Team Leadership & Talent Development: Recruit, interview, hire, and retain top-tier team members. Conduct performance appraisals, handle disciplinary actions, and champion a culture of recognition, motivation, and continuous training.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure the facility meets the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) guidelines, local health and safety codes, and company security policies.
Facility Maintenance: Maintain company standards regarding the upkeep of all equipment, the interior facility, and the exterior grounds.
Marketing Execution: Ensure complete and timely execution of localized marketing plans to drive community engagement and sales.

Core Skills & Qualifications

Leadership & Coaching: Performance management, staffing, management proficiency, and team development.
Strategic Planning: Coordination, developing operational standards, process improvement, and decisive decision-making.
Financial Acumen: Financial planning, strategy, and cost control management.

Minimum Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry, including at least 5 years as a Restaurant General Manager.
Environment: Proven track record in a high-volume, fast-paced QSR or fast-casual concept.
Logistics: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation (public transit does not meet operational needs for this role).
Screening: Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Mindset: A true desire to learn, grow, and inspire a diverse team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
