Full Job Description

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking ASP School Aides for the 2026/2027 school year in the San Diego, CA area.

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

As a Youth Leader, staff will be working in a ratio of 1:20 general education students. They will be leading their group of students through after school program activities, such as sports, "Simon says", "red light green light", etc.

Position Details:

Pay: $21 / Hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday / After School Program Hours / Ex: 4 days a week 1:30pm-6pm schedule, 1 day a week 12:30pm-6pm schedule depending on the school site

Hours/Week: 20-22 Hours Weekly

Start Date: August 2026

Length: 2026/2027 School Year

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
