Job Description:

Position Summary

The Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist plays a key role in increasing community awareness of Self Determined Futures, LLC throughout the San Diego region. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community partners, promoting the organization's services and programs, coordinating outreach initiatives, supporting the company's marketing efforts, and providing direct client services as needed. The ideal candidate is creative, outgoing, organized, and passionate about connecting individuals and families with valuable community resources while supporting the organization's mission.

Responsibilities:

Community Outreach & Engagement

Represent Self Determined Futures, LLC at community events, resource fairs, networking meetings, Regional Center events, and community presentations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Regional Centers, schools, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, community agencies, and other referral sources.
Educate community members, families, and professionals about the organization's programs and services.
Identify opportunities to expand community partnerships and increase referrals.
Coordinate outreach campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
Track outreach activities, referral sources, and community contacts to measure effectiveness.
Serve as a positive ambassador for Self Determined Futures, LLC within the community.

Marketing & Communications

Manage the company's social media platforms and maintain an active online presence.
Create engaging content, including graphics, videos, photos, and promotional posts for social media.
Design and develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, banners, and event displays.
Ensure all marketing materials align with the organization's branding and messaging.
Assist with updating website content and promoting company events, trainings, new programs, and success stories.
Collaborate with leadership to develop marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and community engagement.
Monitor marketing trends and recommend new ideas to enhance community visibility.

Client Services Support

Provide direct client services and maintain a limited caseload as assigned based on organizational needs.
Assist individuals and families in accessing appropriate services and community resources.
Collaborate with program staff to ensure quality service delivery.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company policies and Regional Center requirements.

Administrative Support

Maintain organized records of outreach activities, marketing initiatives, and referral partnerships.
Prepare reports summarizing outreach efforts, marketing metrics, and community engagement.
Assist with planning and coordinating company events and community presentations.
Collaborate with leadership and program teams to support organizational growth.
Complete additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
Experience in community outreach, marketing, communications, public relations, business development, social services, or case management preferred.
Experience managing social media platforms and creating marketing content preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Highly organized with exceptional project management and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Google Workspace and Canva or similar graphic design software preferred.
Experience using social media management platforms is a plus.
Professional, dependable, creative, and detail-oriented.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance

Pay: $70,720.00 per year
