Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are urgently hiring for 2 positions 1) Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:30am to 7:30pm and 2) Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 7:30pm. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver for the Elderly to provide high-quality care to seniors in a 6 bed residential care facility home. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and be able to start immediately. You will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence among elderly individuals.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs when necessary.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Assist with mobility using equipment such as walkers or wheelchairs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Document care provided in the MAR accurately and timely.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
Support individuals with dementia by implementing behavior management techniques as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is essential.
Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and dementia care practices is highly desirable.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks and maintain hygiene standards within the living space.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Certification in CPR/First Aid
