What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines that extract, transform and load clinical data from multiple healthcare systems
Monitoring and improving data quality across clinical datasets, identifying and resolving data integrity issues
Collaborating with clinical operations, research and analytics teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Writing and optimizing SQL queries to support clinical reporting and analytics workstreams
Documenting data models, pipeline logic and quality standards to ensure consistency and compliance
Supporting the implementation of HIPAA-compliant data storage and access controls
Troubleshooting data issues and providing technical support to downstream analytics and clinical users

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

Must-have

5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, clinical data management or healthcare analytics
Strong SQL proficiency and demonstrated experience building and maintaining data pipelines
Working knowledge of data quality principles and experience implementing data validation frameworks
Understanding of healthcare data standards, clinical terminology or electronic health record (EHR) systems
HIPAA Compliance Certification or equivalent healthcare data security knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Data Science or related field
Authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-have

Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRP) certification or clinical research background
Experience with analytics tools and data visualization platforms
Familiarity with statistical analysis or clinical research methodologies
Experience working in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments
