Job Overview
Core Consulting Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will analyze construction documents, conduct site inspections, assess construction defects, recommend repairs, research costs, and build comprehensive estimates and reports. This opportunity is perfect for candidates with a passion for details, forensic work, strong communication skills, and a solid background in hands-on construction practices. You'll play a critical role in delivering solutions that ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness on construction projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough on-site inspections to identify construction defects and recommend appropriate repairs.
Review and analyze plans, specifications, and relevant project documents.
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to provide technical findings and recommendations.
Prepare professional technical reports and written assessments.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.
Travel in-state to perform inspections and meet with clients as needed.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of construction work experience.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of residential construction practices and processes.
Hands-on field experience in construction.
Proficiency with Excel is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven technical writing ability.
Licensed General Contractor (GC) required.
Ability and willingness to travel in-state for site inspections and client meetings.
