The Chere Amie is a Yacht Charter company that holds private and public events and cruises the San Diego Bay. We are looking for a hostess/crew member who is able to work mainly on weekends and holidays when we have events.
If you are interested in working in a fun, fast-paced environment then the Chere Amie may be right for you. We host all kinds of events and parties on our boat such as Weddings, Birthday Parties, Booze Cruises, and Corporate Events.
Job Responsibilities
- Serving boarding drinks such as champagne to guests when they arrive in a friendly manner
- Assisting the bar to ensure it runs smoothly during event; restocking glasses, garnishes, beer/liquor
- Greet guests in a kind and courteous manner
- Ability to cater to guests needs and provide service related to food, drinks, etc.
- Making sure tables are clean during event by properly disposing plates and glasses no longer in use, and also ensuring that restrooms are clean and well stocked
- Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department.
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of serving or hosting experience required
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs and constantly stand, kneel, and go up and down stairs
- Must be able to work quickly completing tasks as they are assigned; which can include assisting the bar as needed or helping with set up and breakdown before and after the event
- Does not have problems with motion sickness
- Enjoys being around people and interacting with guests
- Great organization skills, with strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Honest and trustworthy, can always be counted on to complete any tasks they have been assigned
- Team player who is always positive, enthusiastic, humble, and respectful to all team members and guests.
