Auto CAD Draftsman (Residential Landscape)
$26-$29 an hour
POSITION SUMMARY
Join our growing team at Pacific Outdoor Living, based in Sun Valley as a Residential Landscape and/or Structural CAD Drafter. The purpose of this role is to create quality design presentation packages based on our landscape and architectural designers’ vision. This position plays a crucial role in our experienced Design/Build Company, which continues to expand its scope of work.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Utilize AutoCAD to create accurate construction drawings and presentation plans for residential landscape and outdoor living projects.
- Produce detailed sections, elevations, and construction details in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and estimators to revise and finalize plans efficiently.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and organization throughout all phases of project development.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the company CAD detail library to improve drafting efficiency and consistency.
- Learn and apply company construction methods, materials, and product specifications.
- Ensure plans comply with applicable construction standards and project requirements.
CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES
- 2+ years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and construction plans.
- Construction, landscape, or residential design experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of local building codes is a plus.
- CAD portfolio required. Completed project examples are a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Successful applicants will be required to participate in pre-employment aptitude assessments designed to evaluate their ability to perform the responsibilities of the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to move throughout the office to collaborate with team members as needed.
