About Us

We are a fast-casual restaurant located in Studio City, seeking a proactive Kitchen Manager who oversees BOH operations and collaborates closely with senior leadership to ensure the restaurant is run efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Job Summary

Schedule: This is a full-time opportunity, with variable shifts in the AM and PM including weekends.

A Store Level Manager is expected to perform the following expectations:

General/Operational Responsibilities:

Complete all administrative logs, including but not limited to:
PCL
Tip Log
Attendance Log
Petty Log
Complete nightly EOD emails with all appropriate daily information, including, but not limited to:
Sales Numbers
Labor Percentages
Comps
Attendance
Service Feedback
Staff Feedback
Quality Control Feedback
Order Issues
Priorities/Repairs
Oversee the smooth and consistent daily operations of the restaurant, including but not limited to:
Prep
Service
Attendance/Labor
Food Cost/Waste
Customer Interactions
Ordering/Receiving
Cleanliness
Atmosphere
Interpersonal Dynamics
Maintenance
Set positive, collaborative tone for the whole team and lead by example.
Attend weekly management meeting with Senior Management and other Store Level Managers.
Have a strong understanding of all menu item specifics, including all associated dietary and allergy issues.
Ensure all staff maintain up to date ServSafe certificates.
Other duties as assigned.

Training, HR and Communication Responsibilities:

Communicate any/all important notices, specials and changes to menu, procedure, or policy to staff in a timely manner, as needed.
Write weekly schedules, posting both online and in-store two weeks in advance. Schedules should maintain appropriate labor percentages.
Cut staff when appropriate to maintain appropriate labor costs, staying conscious of all labor rules.
Train all new staff on their stations, holding them accountable to training protocol and communication expectations.
Communicate all HR matters to Senior Management in a timely manner, using the appropriate channel and EOD emails.
Assist in implementing HR procedures (but never do so unilaterally), as directed by Senior Management, including, but not limited to:
Troubleshooting/De-escalating interpersonal conflicts and staff problems.
Interviewing, Staging, Onboarding and Termination
Employee Feedback and Discipline, using all appropriate forms
Mediation/Investigations, using appropriate forms
Performance Reviews
Respond in a timely way to all communications from Senior Management.
Uphold anti-discriminatory, zero tolerance policies among entire team.
Troubleshoot and navigate language barriers with the aim of facilitating communication with and between management and hourly employees (utilize language translating software, where needed.)
Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be able to stand for an 8-hour shift,
able to lift up to 70lbs, be able to reach above head and stoop to put items on the floor or low shelves,
be able to climb stairs and ladders, and be able to work as part of a team for the benefit of the guest.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
