About the Training Program
This is a 1.5-year paid training program designed to develop you into a highly skilled curly hair specialist.
By the end of the program, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to work with wavy, curly, and coily hair using our signature cutting, styling, and education techniques. You'll also receive specialized education in curly hair color services, including custom highlighting and color placement designed specifically to complement natural curl patterns and texture.
You'll receive:
- Extensive hands-on training and mentorship
- Monthly education classes
- One-on-one coaching from our lead stylist
- Training in our signature curly cutting, styling, and coloring techniques
- Education in specialized curly highlights and color placement
- A clear path to becoming a fully booked curly hair specialist
- Guaranteed full books upon successful completion of the program
What You'll Do
During training, you will:
- Assist the lead stylist 2–4 days per week
- Work with your own training models 1–2 days per week, earning tips while building your skills
- Shampoo, condition, style, diffuse, and assist with curly hair services
- Prepare clients for appointments
- Maintain a clean, organized salon environment
- Sanitize tools and workstations
- Restock products and supplies
- Run occasional salon errands
- Check clients out after appointments
- Take before-and-after photos and videos
- Create and post social media content
- Learn how to read the room and provide thoughtful, personalized client care
- Support the team in delivering an exceptional salon experience every day
