Senior Human Resources Generalist – HR Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist – HR Operations who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys ensuring HR processes run smoothly across a growing organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Senior Director of HR and leadership team to support employees across multiple states. The position focuses on HR operations, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building structure, managing compliance, and supporting both field and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, and separations, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
Maintain and audit employee records in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all HR systems
Support payroll operations, including review of payroll changes and serving as backup to the Payroll Administrator when needed
Administer Workers’ Compensation claims, coordinating with insurance carriers, employees, and managers to ensure timely resolution
Manage leave of absence programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and other state leave requirements across a multi-state workforce
Coordinate benefits administration including enrollments, vendor communication, open enrollment, and invoice reviews
Respond to employment verifications, unemployment claims, and EDD hearings
Support employee relations documentation and performance tracking
Monitor HR compliance deadlines and assist with policy updates
Maintain HR reports, analytics, and operational trackers to support leadership decisions
Assist with HR initiatives related to training, employee engagement, and organizational improvement

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of progressive HR experience across payroll, benefits, compliance, workers’ compensation, and leave administration
Experience supporting a multi-state workforce with both hourly and salaried employees
Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and attention to detail
Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
Collaborative and approachable communication style
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Additional Requirement

Candidates must obtain a Notary Public certification within 90 days of hire. Baco Properties will cover the exam and related materials.
