Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and evaluating medical histories to determine appropriate acupuncture treatment plans.
- Perform acupuncture procedures using sterile techniques, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each session.
- Manage acute pain conditions effectively through targeted acupuncture techniques such as trigger point therapy and other pain management strategies.
- Manage internal medicine disorders.
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient progress, and clinical notes in accordance with healthcare regulations using our EHR, Jane app.
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately interpret patient needs and tailor therapies accordingly.
- Ensure aseptic techniques are consistently followed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety during all procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment approaches for complex cases involving pain management or chronic conditions.
Requirements
- Graduates of an accredited acupuncture program (master's degree minimum, doctoral degree preferred), additional certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required.
- Holds current California acupuncture license (L.Ac.)
- Proven experience in patient service delivery within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice.
- Demonstrated ability to perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and pain evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their treatment plans and wellness strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Electronic Health Records

Pay: $30.00 - $100.00 per hour
