Full Job Description

Job Description: This position reports to the General Superintendent. Foreman will be bags on execute, plan, assign, and work along side while supervising the work of a concrete crew, laborers, truck drivers, and equipment operators engaged in the construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of projects. The Foreman will ensure their crew is following all safety guidelines set forth by our safety manager.

Scheduling responsibilities: 1. Plan and coordinate dispatch of labor with superintendent for upcoming task 2. Plan and coordinate delivery of all materials for self-performed work 3. Schedule the work of subcontractors with superintendent

Supervisory Responsibilities: 1. Manage total field construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and project schedule. Includes interfacing with superintendent, other contractors, etc. 2. Manage crew and turn in Daily reports to superintendent no later than 7am the following morning. 3. Manage crew and ensure all staff "clocks in and out" for scheduled shifts and meal breaks. 4. Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract. 5. Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project. 6. Track and be responsible for all tools purchased or supplied by Aberle Concrete.

Technical Responsibilities: 1. Assist the superintendent with any RFI's or COR's 2. provide technical assistance, i.e. interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required.

Safety Responsibilities: 1. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures safety program requirements, work rules, etc. 2. document all safety violations, notify project management, and recommend, implement corrective actions as required. 3. Tailgate safety meetings to be performed every Tuesday and turned in no later than 7am on Wednesday morning.

Qualifications: Candidate must have thorough knowledge of all site and structural concrete projects. Candidate must have knowledge of practices, methods, equipment, materials and tools used in concrete site construction and maintenance. Understand, manage and prevent occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work. Ability to interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans and sketches, and blue prints. Must have the ability to lay-out, direct, and supervise construction job site. Be a leader with the ability to supervise the work of others. Efficiently carry out instructions and communicate and coordinate with superiors, subordinates, vendors and office staff. Record keeping is vital and required for all jobs. We are a local concrete construction company in business for over 20 years and are now hiring full time foremen. You must have experience at management level in the construction industry, as well as familiar with site and structural concrete.
