Lawrence Hall is a distinguished non-profit, community-based human services organisation with a rich history dating back to 1865. We are dedicated to helping children, youth, and families heal from the effects of trauma through a comprehensive range of programmes, including foster care, mental health services, and special education. We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our data, which is essential for delivering our life-changing services. This position is ideal for an individual with exceptional attention to detail who is passionate about contributing to a mission-driven organisation.

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining data within our systems. Your key duties will include:

Accurately entering and updating client and programme data into relevant databases and computer systems.
Verifying the accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents and identifying any discrepancies.
Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors and making necessary corrections to ensure data quality.
Generating reports and retrieving data from electronic files as requested by staff members.
Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies, given the sensitive nature of our work.
Scanning, organising, and managing both paper and electronic documents.
Providing general administrative support to the team as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Proven experience in a data entry role or a similar administrative position.
Excellent typing speed and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with MS Excel.
Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience within a non-profit or human services organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
