Compensation & Earning Potential

$4,000 monthly base pay
Unlimited commission opportunities on top of your base pay
Monthly and quarterly performance bonuses
Realistic first-year earning potential of $60,000–$85,000+, with top performers earning even more

Job Description/Responsibilities

As an Insurance Sales Representative, you'll work alongside an experienced Farmers agency owner while receiving ongoing support from the Silicon Valley District Office. This is an inside sales role where you'll connect with prospective clients, understand their unique needs, and recommend personalized insurance solutions that fit each client's needs.

From your first day, you'll receive hands-on training, daily coaching, real-time feedback, and ongoing mentorship from both your agency owner and the Silicon Valley District Office. In this role, you will:

Connect with a high volume of prospective clients each day through warm leads, referrals, and follow-up opportunities, allowing you to spend more time building relationships and helping clients.
Guide clients through the entire sales process by building rapport, identifying their insurance needs, preparing personalized quotes, and recommending insurance solutions that help protect what matters most.
Educate clients on Farmers Insurance products and coverage options, empowering them to make informed decisions with confidence.
Build lasting relationships through exceptional customer service, professional follow-up, and consistent communication.
Learn proven sales strategies, objection handling, consultative selling techniques, and industry best practices through hands-on training, daily coaching, and real-time feedback from experienced agency owners and the Silicon Valley District Office.
Collaborate with your agency owner and the Silicon Valley District Office to achieve sales goals, contribute to agency growth, and continue building your path toward leadership and potential agency ownership.

Candidates must obtain their Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, and Health licenses for this role. We encourage candidates who are committed to obtaining these licenses to apply, as our team provides guidance and support throughout the licensing process.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is motivated to learn, and is excited to build a long-term career in sales.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and lasting relationships.
Positive, coachable attitude with a genuine desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve.
At least one year of sales, customer service, or other customer-facing experience is preferred.
Comfortable initiating conversations and confidently speaking with prospective clients by phone, email, and text.
Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and a desire to achieve individual and team sales goals.
Comfortable learning and using technology, including CRM systems and other sales tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client conversations and follow-up activities.
Motivated to learn the insurance industry, our consultative sales process, and Farmers Insurance products.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
