About Daffodil Health

Healthcare administration is broken. At Daffodil Health, we are building the AI-enabled “smart layer” for health plans, automating the complex workflows of claims repricing and payment integrity. We’ve recently secured our Series A funding and are scaling rapidly to replace legacy vendors with transparent, automated SaaS solutions. We are a team of healthcare and technology experts on a mission to lower the $1 trillion wasted on healthcare administration.

The Role

We are looking for a high-bandwidth, high-integrity Office Manager to serve as the "connective tissue" of our organization. As an early hire in a Series A startup, you won’t have a rigid silo. Instead, you will be the ultimate utility player, reporting directly to the leadership team and owning / contributing to the foundational pillars of HR, Finance, and G&A operations.

This is a 100% in-person role based at our San Jose headquarters. You will be the heartbeat of the office, ensuring our physical and digital operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture (HR): Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle. This includes managing our ATS, coordinating interviews for a scaling technical team, onboarding new hires, administering benefits/payroll, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Finance & Accounting: You will manage Accounts Payable/Receivable, oversee employee expense management, build out a new invoicing tool, and be the point of contact for various systems access.
Business Administration: Serve in the "Office of the CEO." You will manage vendor relationships (software SaaS seats, insurance renewals), coordinate team offsites, and ensure our corporate governance (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA-related admin) stays on track.
San Jose Office Operations: Own the physical workspace. From managing office logistics and supplies to welcoming guests and coordinating local team events, you will ensure our San Jose HQ is an environment where the team can do their best work.
Special Projects: Lead ad-hoc projects—acting as a force multiplier for the leadership team.

Who You Are

The "Swiss Army Knife": 4–7 years of experience in a high-growth startup, You are comfortable moving between a spreadsheet, a legal contract, and a recruiting screen.
AI Native: You are comfortable and confident in utilizing Daffodil’s tools to streamline work and processes to make things more efficient on Day 1.
Local & Present: You thrive in an in-person environment and enjoy the energy of a bustling startup office in San Jose.
Systems Thinker: You don't just "do" a task; you build a process so it’s easier the next time.
High "EQ" and "IQ": You will handle sensitive HR and financial data. Absolute discretion and a "no task is too small" attitude are non-negotiable.
