Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage the company's accounts receivable processes, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate financial records. Your expertise in accounting systems and customer service will be vital in supporting our financial health and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation using QuickBooks and our internal CRM
Relentlessly follow up on overdue invoices through professional client communication to ensure timely collections
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all transactions using spreadsheets and billing software
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger with general ledger using Excel data analysis and accounting concepts
Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries related to receivables and debits & credits
Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper account analysis and double entry bookkeeping practices
Support internal audits by providing detailed reports on receivables and collection activities in compliance with GAAP standards

Qualifications

3-4 years proven experience in accounts receivable roles, preferably within the construction trade or similar environments
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks required. Experience with construction billing platforms preferred
Excellent analysis skills with proficiency in Excel formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis techniques
Experience managing collections accounts and performing account reconciliation tasks
Ability to perform precise data entry with high attention to detail
Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general bookkeeping
Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and email for client and colleague communication
Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles is desirable
