Full Job Description

Join FAZ Restaurant Group as Catering Sales & Banquet Events Manager

FAZ Restaurant Group is seeking a driven and experienced Catering Sales Manager to lead our San Jose team. This pivotal role requires a proven leader and strategic seller to see events through from start to finish, maintain and grow client lists, coordinate with FOH and BOH staff, and grow our catering brand. We're looking for someone who is a hands-on leader and a team player, with a passion for serving great food!

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established name and make a significant impact. You will report directly to our CEO/President.

Qualifications

Proven Sales Leadership: A minimum of 3+ years of progressive, dedicated sales and management experience, preferably in high-end catering and banquet operations.
System Implementation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize all departmental systems, including sales tracking, client database management, and financial projections.
Financial Acumen: Experience in developing sales budgets, executing accurate monthly projections, and managing event profitability, including clear determination of service charge distribution.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Toast and Perfect Venue or Caterease preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with GM and Owner to ensure that employee policy is consistent with policies and procedures at the restaurant group.

2. Establish paper trail for all events

3. Establish and maintain regular scheduling for miscellaneous tasks (file archiving, cleanup of banquet service areas, etc.).

4. Establish and maintain daily sales production records. Help GM and owner with setting goals for banquet and catering sales (food and beverage) and maintain records conducive to accurate monthly projections.

5. Maintain contact database and sales efforts records. Keep a calendar of outside scheduling needs, and work with GM regarding any off-site activity.

6. Communicate with GM and Owner regarding potential problems.

7. Maintain service and product quality standards for each event. Develop and/or improve function sheets, checklists, etc. for this purpose.

8. Develop /maintain industry contacts and purveyor relationships (florists, photographers, special product purveyors, etc.).

10. Work closely with GM and owner on personnel on marketing strategies.

11. Host meetings with potential new clients, and make regular sales efforts.

Additional Requirements

Experience with Caterease or other productivity software preferred.
Knowledge of Toast, Ctuit is preferred.
Excellent time management skills
