Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role involves operating heavy equipment to move and load products, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and landscape supply yard, and providing daily support to customers. You will ensure materials meet quality and labeling standards, complete required documentation, and follow safety procedures while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts to move product around the yard and load product for customers.

Load and unload pavers for customers using a forklift, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials.

Pull and stage partial pallets in advance of scheduled deliveries to support timely outbound shipments.

Organize the yard and warehouse to maintain an orderly, efficient, and safe work area.

Help load outbound trucks and verify that all materials and quantities match truck manifests and paperwork.

Ensure all materials are properly identified, packaged, and labeled according to established standards.

Examine materials visually to confirm conformance to quality and safety standards.

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and warehouse areas on a regular basis.

Organize, plan, and prioritize daily work to meet operational needs and customer demands.

Assist customers daily with loading, product handling, and basic service needs in a courteous and efficient manner.

Complete all necessary documentation and reports at the end of each shift as required by company procedures.

Operate within company policies and submit reports and updates as requested by leadership.

Take responsibility for the safety and health of self and others by following all safety and security procedures.

Essential Skills

Experience performing general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, packing, and material handling.

Ability to operate a forklift or loader to move products safely around a yard or warehouse environment.

Forklift experience strongly preferred; willingness to obtain or maintain forklift certification if required.

Ability to perform inspection and quality checks on materials to ensure they meet established standards.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and handle heavier items, including 90-pound bags, with proper technique and equipment.

Basic machine operation skills in a production, warehouse, or yard setting.

Customer service experience, including assisting customers in person in a courteous and professional manner.

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Strong attention to safety and adherence to safety and security procedures.

Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, punctual attendance and the ability to work scheduled shifts consistently.

Resourceful and proactive problem-solving skills with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift certification is a plus but not required at the time of hire.

Experience working in outdoor environments, including in varying weather conditions.

Familiarity with verifying paperwork against truck manifests and basic documentation practices.

Comfort working with heavy equipment and machinery in a yard or warehouse setting.

Work Environment
This position is based in an outdoor yard and warehouse environment where work continues in all weather conditions, including rain or shine. The role is physically demanding and involves lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional handling of 90-pound bags using proper lifting techniques and equipment. You will operate forklifts, loaders, and other material-handling equipment throughout the day. The standard shift runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, providing a consistent work schedule. The environment is hands-on, safety-focused, and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on maintaining clean, organized work areas and adhering to all safety procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
