WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide warm, attentive in-home respite care and daily living support to clients with developmental disabilities
- Assist with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and companionship
- Follow each client's individualized support plan as directed by our care coordinators
- Document hours accurately using our electronic visit verification (EVV) system
- Communicate openly and professionally with clients, families, and our office team
SCHEDULE & PAY
This is a part-time position with hours that vary by client assignment across Santa Clara County. We work with each caregiver to find shifts that fit their availability — mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends. Pay ranges from $17.50–$19.50/hr depending on experience — if you bring documented DD experience or bilingual skills, we want to recognize that from day one.
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Pass a DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check (required by California DDS)
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Reliable transportation to client homes throughout Santa Clara County
- Ability to follow written care plans and document visits accurately
PREFERRED
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or similar
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus — many of our families are Spanish-speaking)
- CNA, HHA, or IHSS caregiving background
