Full Job Description

Senior Tax Manager

We're partnering with a growing public accounting firm seeking a Tax Manager to support a diverse client base and lead complex tax engagements. This is an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, contribute to firm growth, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns
Conduct tax research and support tax planning initiatives
Manage client audits, notices, and tax authority inquiries
Review staff work and provide technical guidance
Oversee multiple client engagements and filing deadlines

Qualifications

Required

CPA license or actively pursuing CPA
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of public accounting or tax accounting experience
Federal and California tax expertise
Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
Multi-state taxation experience
Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel

Nice to Have

Tax planning and projection experience
Experience with individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Audit support experience

Compensation

$145,000 to $180,000 DoE
