SENIOR RISK ANALYST

A Brief Overview

The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible Assist GRC Manager in identifying and implementing strategic enhancements for ERM program. Support day-to-day management of regulatory examinations and governance of Executive Risk Management Committee matters.

Accountable for adhering to the Bank’s BSA, AML and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) applicable policies. Employee must follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the policies. Employee is also responsible for reporting any suspicious activity and/or transactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and comply with any mandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training assigned.

What You’ll Do

Governance, Assurance and Regulatory Affairs

Support with regulatory examinations, communications, and requests from agencies (e.g., FDIC, FED, OCIF).
Second line of oversight for Risk Management practices.
Execution & monitoring of the corporate policy and product program cycle (Including new products and services).
Policy Management and Regulatory Exam modules of the GRC tool. Provide GRC training to pertinent parties.
Lead special projects assigned by the Unit Manager, Unit Director, or CRO.
Research industry developments and regulatory environment.
Assist with ERMC agenda, Regulatory Affairs monthly updates and Quarterly Risk Report.
Support Corporate Material Risk Assessment Program.
Conduct risk analyses; develop mitigation strategies and prepare reports.
Review third party contracts, business proposals, and cases, and if needed, coordinate risk analysis.
Support governance of corporate incentive plan.
Administer and maintain the GRC software platform.
Produce ERM Risk Newsletter.
Evaluation and monitoring of Regulatory observations.

Competencies

Strong Presentation Skills in English and Spanish | to address Regulatory Examiners and Management Committees
Strong Knowledge of Banking and Risk Management

Proficiency in Microsoft Apps

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance is required for this job. Master’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance, preferred but not a requirement. Certified Public Accountant or Credit Risk Management Certification or Certified Information Systems Auditor is preferred. 6 – 7 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Finance, Banking, Internal Controls, Model Risk, Banking Products (Mortgage, Consumer Loans, Auto Loans, Credit Cards, Commercial Loans), Risk Management and Financial Reporting. Or the equivalent combination of Education and Experience needed to be able to perform the functions of this job.
