Join our team as a Sous Chef at Inn at the Pier!

In the heart of our bustling kitchen, your culinary expertise will shine. As a Sous Chef, you'll be the driving force behind our kitchen’s success, orchestrating every meal with precision and flair. You'll support the Chef, guide the kitchen staff, and oversee daily operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences. If you’re passionate about cooking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy mentoring others, we’d love to have you on our team!

Salary: $70,304

Your Role:

As a Sous Chef, you’ll be integral to our kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient food service to help deliver exceptional dining experiences. Some of your key responsibilities include:

Prepare and present meals to meet guest or banquet event order specifications.
Accurately measure and portion ingredients for consistency.
Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to standards, procedures, and sanitation practices.
Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and steamers.
Manage inventory, ensuring that supplies are fresh and of high quality.
Monitor food temperatures during cooking and ensure proper storage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and kitchen.
Oversee kitchen opening and closing tasks and support the Executive Chef as needed.
Prepare food for employee cafeteria or work banquet stations as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Prior Cook experience in a hotel or restaurant required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Unexpired Food Handlers Certification.
Flexible availability.
