San Marcos, TX
$100k - $120K + Benefits

Take control of the estimating function and build a team you trust

This is a step up. You are coming into a privately owned commercial roofing contractor with around 20 years in business and $150m in revenue, doing large, technical new construction work across Texas.

You are not here to sit behind a desk and just price jobs. You will be the experienced person in the room, setting the standard, improving bid quality, and helping bring junior estimators up as the team is rebuilt.

The business has tightened its focus to stronger branches, better people, and sustainable growth. That gives you a more stable environment, backed by experienced operators who know what they are doing.

Your role

Lead bids on large commercial new construction roofing projects
Support and guide junior estimators in the branch
Review bids and act as a strong second set of eyes before contract stage
Work closely with experienced operations and field leadership
Help strengthen the overall estimating function as the team rebuilds

Company overview
This is a privately owned commercial roofing contractor with around 20 years in business and $150M in annual revenue.

The company operates across four different states, with roughly 700 employees.

The San Marcos branch covers a large Texas territory, including Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Oklahoma.

The work is 100% commercial new construction, with projects typically starting at $300k- $500k and regularly exceeding $1M. TPO is the core system, alongside more complex scopes involving metal and large industrial builds.

The business has deliberately tightened its footprint to focus on stronger branches, better people, and sustainable growth.

It is a solid platform for someone who wants to work on real projects, be part of a serious contractor, and play a key role in building out the estimating function.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience
Strong background in large-scale new construction projects
On-Screen Takeoff / QuickBid or The Edge experience strongly preferred
