Ciranta Property Management owns and manages multiple apartment communities in Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio. We are professional, fun, inclusive and our goal is to provide exceptional service to our residents.

Job Name: Assistant Community Manager- Affordable Housing

Responsibilities

The Assistant Community Manager plays a key role in supporting daily property operations while helping create a positive and welcoming environment for residents. This position works closely with the Community Manager and onsite team to ensure operational excellence, strong resident relationships, and smooth property performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with residents, managing property-related administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and experience in property management, leasing, and administrative functions to maintain a vibrant and well-managed community environment.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day management and operations of the community
Provide outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with residents
Support leasing, renewals, and resident retention initiatives
Process applications, leases, and move-in/move-out documentation
Assist with rent collections and financial reporting
Address resident concerns promptly and professionally
Coordinate with maintenance and other team members to ensure community standards are maintained
Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve the resident experience and community culture
Help plan and execute resident engagement activities and communications
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the secondary point of contact for residents, tenants, vendors, and service providers
Help oversee leasing activities, including move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals
Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely, high-quality resolution
Manage property budgets, rent collection, and basic financial reporting
Enforce community policies and regulations to maintain a safe, respectful environment
Plan and implement community events to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction
Work closely with your Community Manager or property management leadership to meet occupancy, service, and financial objectives

Qualifications

3-5 Years of property management and leasing experience required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in property management software such as ResMan, or similar platforms
Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and applicable local regulations
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
A proactive self-starter who thinks independently and takes initiative
Someone who is not afraid to challenge the norm and bring fresh ideas and loves to lease!
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
A passion for serving residents and strengthening community relationships
3-5 Years of property management, working with distressed properties
Must be available to work overtime and weekends if necessary
Bilingual required

Required

Minimum of 3 years experience with affordable housing programs, including but not limited to : LIHTC, Affordable program MDSI,HUD (Project Based Section 8, Section 236, PRAC, 811 PRA, USDA - Rural Development (515), HCD, HOME Funds and Bonds)
Affordable Housing Accreditation (HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO) or other applicable designations in affordable programs are preferred but not required
Bilingual required

Schedule

Full-time 40 hours a week
After hours as needed
Weekend availability as needed
