Full Job Description

South Austin medical tech company

We are looking for a motivated Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure that the established quality management system processes are maintained. This position promotes awareness of regulatory and customer requirements throughout the organization and acts as a liaison with external parties such as customers or auditors on matters relating to the quality management system. The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail, be organized, be flexible, and be able to adapt and change priorities as required. If you have previous experience in documentation control and quality management systems, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Senior QA Specialist will be able to develop procedures for periodic executive management review of the QMS including recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensures compliance with company and all applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

2. Defines and communicates company quality policies and objectives throughout the organization.

3. Develops procedures for periodic executive management review of the QMS: this review will document suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the QMS to ensure goal achievement and include recommendations for improvement and/or change.

4. Conducts surveys, audits and product testing to verify that vendors and subcontractors supplying products meet company quality requirements.

5. Assists in development of test protocols.

6. Investigates customer complaints and communicate outcomes.

7. Maintains documentation files to include component, sub-assembly and assembly drawing and specifications; release to outside suppliers as needed.

8. Maintains records related to entire QMS.

Education and Training:

1. Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science and two to four years’ experience in medical device manufacturing or related industry. A minimum of three years in a government regulated industry is highly desired.

2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
