Full Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Director of Sales, Supplements to lead and scale our sales strategy across our dietary supplement and nutrition brand portfolio. This is a high impact role for an experienced sales leader who understands the supplement industry and has a proven track record of growing brands across major retail, specialty, distribution, and marketplace channels. You will own the sales roadmap for our supplement brands, build and manage key retail and distributor partnerships, and help shape our strategy from acquisition to shelf. to lead and scale sales strategy across our dietary supplement and nutrition brand portfolio. This is a high impact role for an experienced sales leader who understands the supplement industry and has a proven track record of growing brands across major retail, specialty, distribution, and marketplace channels. You will own the sales roadmap for our supplement brands, build and manage key retail and distributor partnerships, and help shape our strategy from acquisition to shelf.

The ideal candidate has strong relationships with retail buyers, understands supplement category and regulatory dynamics, and is excited to build and scale a multi-brand sales engine from the ground up.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the sales strategy for our supplement brand portfolio, setting channel priorities, revenue targets, and go-to-market plans for new and existing accounts
Build and manage key relationships with major retail and distribution partners, including GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Sprouts, Whole Foods, UNFI, and KeHE.
Lead new account acquisition, identifying and closing new wholesale, distributor, and retail partnerships to expand brand distribution
Develop and pitch retail-ready sell sheets, line sheets, and buyer presentations in partnership with marketing and creative teams
Own forecasting and demand planning in collaboration with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure retail commitments and inventory needs are met
Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotional programs that protect brand margin while driving volume
Oversee retail compliance requirements, ensuring claims, labeling, and product listings meet FDA, DSHEA, and retailer specific guidelines, in coordination with internal and external partners.
Represent our supplement brands at trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events (e.g., Natural Products Expo West, Newtopia Now, etc.)
Partner cross-functionally with brand, marketing, and product teams to ensure retail strategy aligns with brand positioning and product roadmap
Build repeatable sales processes and playbooks that can scale across current and future acquired supplement brands
Report on pipeline, account performance, and channel P&L to executive leadership

TO BE THE BEST FIT FOR THIS ROLE YOU NEED

7+ years of sales experience in the supplements, nutrition, vitamins, or broader CPG industry, with a track record of closing and growing retail/wholesale accounts
Direct experience selling into supplement or nutrition-focused retail and distribution (GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Sprouts, Whole Foods, UNFI, and KeHE) strongly preferred
Existing relationships with supplement/nutrition category buyers and category managers
Working knowledge of DSHEA, FDA supplement labeling requirements, and retailer compliance standards, with the ability to ensure products and claims meet applicable requirements.
Experience managing multi-brand or multi-category sales portfolios
Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth through effective forecasting, pricing, promotional strategy, and account management.
A builder's mindset with a passion for creating sales strategies, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, multi-brand environment
Willingness to travel for buyer meetings, trade shows, and account visits
