Full Job Description

We're opening a new restaurant in Port Clinton and are looking for a passionate, hands-on Sous Chef to help bring our culinary vision to life. This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team from day one, working alongside the Executive Chef to build a high-performing kitchen, refine the menu, and create an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do

Partner with the Executive Chef to execute and maintain the restaurant's culinary vision.
Assist with menu preparation, recipe execution, and daily kitchen operations.
Lead and motivate kitchen staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the highest standards.
Manage food preparation, inventory, ordering, and waste control.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen in compliance with health regulations.
Step into a leadership role during the Executive Chef's absence.
Train, coach, and develop line cooks and other back-of-house team members.
Help drive operational efficiency while maintaining an exceptional dining experience.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of kitchen leadership experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory culinary role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
