Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Daycare/Preschool Assistant Director to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support the overall management and operational excellence of our childcare and preschool programs. Your expertise will help foster a nurturing environment where children thrive, staff are empowered, and families feel confident in our care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence educational quality, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to the growth of a passionate team committed to childhood development and early education excellence.

Duties

Assist in developing and implementing engaging curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth aligned with early childhood education standards
Support faculty in their professional development through coaching, training sessions, and performance evaluations
Oversee daily classroom operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols, licensing regulations, and educational policies
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives to expand program offerings and improve service delivery
Manage program budgets by monitoring expenses, assisting with fundraising efforts, and ensuring financial sustainability
Supervise school staff including teachers, administrative personnel, and support staff to foster a positive work environment
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare licensing, special education law, and educational standards
Facilitate effective communication with parents and community stakeholders through public speaking engagements and regular updates
Lead school meetings, staff trainings, and community outreach activities to promote school initiatives and educational excellence

Requirements

Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school director within early childhood or K-12 settings
Strong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and managing educational programs
Demonstrated expertise in managing budgets as an executive education administrator along with fundraising capabilities
Knowledge of educational compliance laws including special education law and childhood development regulations
Experience supervising personnel in educational environments with a focus on team leadership and personnel management in education
Skilled in strategic planning, management practices, faculty evaluation, and facilitating professional development in schools
Excellent communication skills for public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration
Familiarity with school legal requirements related to early childhood education programs
Classroom experience working directly with children across various age groups within early childhood or preschool settings
