Job Summary

Join our vibrant bakery team as a Bakery Assistant, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help craft delicious baked goods and create a warm, welcoming environment for our customers. In this role, you will assist with food preparation, baking, cake decorating, packaging, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional bakery experiences that keep customers coming back for more.

Responsibilities

Package baked items efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and freshness.
Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, bread, and cakes, ensuring quality and consistency.
Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet customer specifications.
Support food production processes by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and operating bakery equipment safely.
Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations.
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a hygienic workspace.

Qualifications

Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field is preferred.
Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and experience with food presentation is a plus.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and food preparation.
Experience in packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes.
Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards within the food industry.
Customer service experience is desirable to ensure a positive shopping experience for our patrons.
